T.I. Gets A Release Date From Prison!

T.I.’s prison release date has officially been set. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Tip will exit the Arkansas’ Federal Correctional Institution Forrest City Low on September 29, 2011 after completing his 11-month sentence.

He was locked up November 1, 2010 after violating his federal probation. He was on probation after serving his time on a weapons conviction but, soon after he was released, he and wife Tiny were pulled over for making an illegal U-turn where, during a search of the car, contraband materials were found.

Few days to go before the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, MTV has announced that African film making will be recognized for the first time ever at the prestigious annual awards ceremony.   African films will be from now acknowledged in the BEST AFRICAN MOVIE CATEGORY at the awards show that also celebrates Hollywood blockbusters like “Inception” and “The Social Network”, “The Twilight Saga” and “Harry Potter”. Lil’ Wayne “How To Love” [MUSIC VIDEO]

released the “How To Love” music video, the second single off Tha Carter IV album. There is some controversy surrounding this song after rapper Rich Rick claims he purchased the beat from Drummer Boyz producers. He filed a lawsuit against Wayne and I guess we will just have to see how that plays out.
Meanwhile there is some serious controversy going on in the “How to Love” video. Lil’ Wayne sits with his guitar rapping the lyrics while real life situations take place like rape and single motherhood.

Sam Loco Efe Dead?? + Police refuse to release corps for Burial! WTF?

We are sad to announce the Death of sam loco Efe, One of the best nollywood actors who is usually seen with people like Mr Ibu and Aki and Porpor.  No one has been able to prove what actually killed him and The Nigerian Police department has decided not to release his corps for burial till they find out what actual caused his death

one of the assistant commissioner’s of police responded as follows:

“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the ace Nollywood actor in his hotel room in Owerri. The man attained a national and international status and we are duty bound to get all the details of the matter.”

Meanwhile, friends and family members of the Nollywood actor have decried the delay in releasing his corpse to them by the police.

Similarly, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, has described Sam Loco’s death as “a great loss to the entertainment industry, Enugu State and Nigeria at large.”

After tweeting a storm about the buttocks of Ghanaian and African women on his Twitter page, it appears that R&B singer Mario may have found one Ghanaian ‘booty’ particularly interesting. Some reports suggest that the singer showed interest in Ghanaian female rapper, Tiffany while he was in Ghana to perform at Saturday’s 233connect concert. Tiffany was also on the bill for the concert.

According to sources, Mario at some stage in his stay in Accra, actually took Tiffany’s phone and made her follow him to his hotel room to collect it.
